Do I Need An Attorney?

Most homeowners are reluctant to hire a lawyer for a warranty claim or insurance claim. Why do I need an attorney? And then they get the "reality check" of a claim rejection or out-of-pocket repair estimates.

If your roof was built with defective Atlas Chalet shingles, you could be facing thousands of dollars in replacement costs or damage to your home. Without legal representation, you may get nothing but the runaround from the manufacturer and insurance companies.

Won't Insurance Cover My Roof Damage?

Homeowner's insurance may not cover replacement without proof of wind or hail damage. Your insurer may simply state it is not responsible for a manufacturing defect. Even if your insurance claim were honored, your policy may not pay for full replacement or comparable shingles, and you may have to pay a high deductible.

How Can An Attorney Help?

Our attorneys are very familiar with the Atlas Chalet shingle problems (cracking, blistering, fading, shingle loss) and the company's history with warranty claims. We can guide you on what to look for, how to take pictures and how to get documentation from the builder or architect. We will assess your legal claims at no charge.

Our nationwide class action lawsuit seeks to enforce the Atlas warranty, which guarantees replacement of "like to like" shingles, including costs of installation, plus compensation for any collateral repairs or damage to the structure or the contents of your home.

Because the Atlas Chalet shingles have been discontinued, most homes require full roof replacement even if the damage is limited to a small area of the roof. Thus you may qualify for the class action if just one shingle is damaged.
